Climactic vs. Climatic

Climactic is derived from climax, the point of greatest intensity in a series or progression of events. Stories and novels have a climax, the turning point or part with the most intense action. A trip or journey can also have a climax.

Climatic is derived from climate; it refers to meteorological conditions.
